The P2P Academy empowers our partners through south-to-south collaboration for health systems strengthening and elevated diabetes care in low- and middle-income countries.
The Partner2Partner (P2P) Academy is an essential initiative that fosters collaboration, learning, and innovation amongst WDF partners in low-resource settings.
Developed to support capacity building and help improve diabetes prevention and care through our implementation partners, P2P Academy has evolved into a dynamic platform that encourages cross-fertilisation, networking, and sustainable programme development to strengthen impact.
For WDF, the partner-to-partner exchange platform represents a crucial tool in catalysing community-level impact, stimulating knowledge sharing and learning, and building robust collaborations.
Since its inception in 2007, the Academy's role has been recognised by participating WDF partners on many levels, emphasising its importance in promoting programmes with lasting impact on the communities they serve.
The platform enhances the capacity of WDF implementing partners across the following five pillars:
Partners engage in clinical training within their own country or countries with established capacity with expert stakeholders
Partners engage in clinical training within their own country or countries with established capacity with expert stakeholders.
Partners receive support in strengthening project management, financial management, and monitoring and evaluation efforts.
Participants share best practices and new models of care while fostering connections. Our webinars provide an inclusive platform for partner-to-partner exchange, featuring WHO, NGOs, and CSO speakers.
Embracing a forward-thinking approach, partners explore ground-breaking initiatives to inspire scalable and replicable solutions for the future.
Only existing partners are eligible for support under the P2P Academy programme. If you have questions or comments, please reach out to your WDF focal point.
